Have you ever just been stuck.  Do you think you did something so horrible… AGAIN?  Willfully?  And now you just can’t move forward in your emotions, in your faith and in that job God has created for you specifically to do?  I get that way all. the. time.

It’s a habit that God and I are breaking together.  He’s teaching me, I’m trying to listen and learn.  Naturally I thought I had it mastered, this lesson, but apparently not.  I wonder if this is one of those thorn’s in the side like Paul had. And I’m sure you feel this way, too from time to time.

Here’s the thing.  God knew you were going to do that thing.  On that day at that time.  Before He asked you to accomplish that task He made for you alone to do. So why do we allow ourselves to be diverted?  And stopped in our tracks?  And we allow the devil to win for that time period.  Ten minutes, a day, a week. We stop moving in our freedom in Christ Jesus!

just move

It is intentional, ladies, INTENTIONAL to change our way of thinking.  God is not mad at us.  He knows us and he’s for us.

Someone once asked us in Bible study, “what is the difference between guilt and shame?”  My answer is that guilt is when you are feeling bad because you did something wrong and it goes away when you’ve repented (confessed to God and turned away from that particular sin).  Shame is when you allow that thing, that sin to overwhelm you and stop you in your tracks. even after you have repented.  It’s a mindset that the sin is so overwhelming that God is mad, that God can no longer use you.  And we live in in it, don’t we girls!

But here’s the thing.  1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

All of us have heard this verse before.  So when we’re in the midst of our “stinkin’ thinkin'” it doesn’t hurt to remind ourselves that Jesus died for that. Whatever that is.  It’s not too big, our God is bigger, our God is greater than that.

A lot of times God brings song lyrics to mind when I’m writing.  I think He would like you to listen to this song by Hawk Nelson… Drops in the Ocean and see just how much He cares for YOU!
