12 day challenge, God's word, lack of knowledge, new years resolutions, patient, rose bowl, rose parade, the habit, the word
So, I am finding out more and more as I go along that most people really want to have time for God. We want to have time to pray, really pray. And time to dig deeper into His Word on a daily basis. But, we have been taught that God is patient. So since our kids, our husbands, our jobs, our very culture isn’t patient, we procrastinate on digging deeper.
So I will be starting a twelve-day challenge on January 1st – yes on the day of the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl Game. It’s a twelve day challenge to get us started with our year right on track. I mean, we all want to know the God we claim to serve, right?
Besides, we all make those New Years resolutions that are made to be broken. We think we are going to work out and actually follow through with that this year. We think we are going to join a mastermind group and get a jump start on our businesses. We think we are going to read that magic book and be better in our daily lives because of it. And then we do it for about five or ten days and we’re out.
But there’s good news! Have I got a magic book just for you! The Bible! So maybe it’s time to get ito the habit of reading and talking to your Father each and every day. After all, He sent His Son to die so we could have an opportunity to be in relationship with Him.
So, if you’d like to join the group, we will have a group on Facebook called Back To The Word 2019 just for this very thing. (Just click on the link to join…) It will be daily posts and readings and of course, you can put your reflections on the scripture in the group as an encouragement to others. So, look for the group and ask to be a member… we can’t be ready enough for the new year!
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also will reject you from being My priest. – Hosea 4:6a
